We are thrilled to announce the launch of The Archdruid’s Field Guide on Kickstarter.
The Archdruid’s Field Guide is a 30-beast compendium for 5th Edition that injects much-needed utility, problem-solving, and weirdness back into the natural world.
Framed as the in-universe, scribbled notes of the eccentric Archdruid Trenzo, this book provides 30 new beasts that serve as a tactical toolkit for Druids and a fresh roster of surprises for Game Masters.
We looked at history, biology, and mythology - then translated notable creatures into highly playable 5e mechanics. Here is a taste of what you’ll find:
- The Lyrebird: A flightless bird with a flawless biological Audio Decoy. Throw your voice up to 30 feet to mimic a roaring Owlbear or a commanding guard captain, safely from the bushes.
- The Crimson-Breasted Pelican: Based on medieval myth, it can pierce its own chest to heal others with a shower of its magical, restorative blood.
- The Remora Fish: A tiny, six-inch fish with strength that defies logic. Attach yourself to the rudder of a fleeing ship and reduce its speed to zero.
- The Hodag: A legendary northern beast that sleeps standing up. It boasts a thunderous roar, a spiked tail, and an instant, unyielding affection for white bulldogs.
Every entry includes a stat block, a biological “Fact Sheet,” and Archdruid Trenzo’s handwritten margin notes explaining exactly how to exploit the beast (or how to avoid trouble) in a campaign.
